The DCT is non-profit agency in Tioga County, Pennsylvania specializing in supporting local non-profit organizations.
Mission Statement
It is the mission of the Deerfield Charitable Trust to make grants to charitable organizations located in northern Tioga County. These charitable organizations shall be organized exclusively for charitable, religious, educational and/or scientific purposes under section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code and have received tax-exempt status by the Internal Revenue Service. Qualified organizations include those that promote health and wellness and support the arts and further education.
Who can apply?
Any 501(c)3 public service organization, such as public libraries, fire companies, ambulance associations, recreation authorities, youth groups, boroughs and townships for projects that meet criteria, as well as qualified organizations including those that support the arts, health and wellness, and further education.
- Applying organization must have charitable status as determined by the IRS
- Application must include one year of financial statements or form 990
- Applicant must include letter of determination from IRS
- Applicant must include email address and telephone number with other identifying information
Part of the mission of the Trust is to support the Knoxville Library, a public library in the town where Jane E. Glover lived. The trustees are aware that it would be the preference of Jane E. Glover that such distributions be made in meaningful amounts for substantial and identifiable parts of specific projects and only secondarily that such distributions be made as casual assistance to or modest participation in the general charitable programs of diverse other charitable organizations of their choice.
Application Deadlines
Application due dates are April 1 and October 1 annually
